Project aims:
- To raise participants’ awareness of the role of Poland in the European Union and in the European Union Council and about the significance of our country on the international field as a partner involved in essential global problems, eg. climate-related dangers
- To create an opportunity for European secondary school students to integrate and co-operate through creative endeavours and entertainment
- To break off cultural and linguistic barriers, dispel stereotypes and build a sense of interpersonal community
- To foster tolerance and raise awareness of cultural differences and similarities
- To promote targets and priorities of Polish Presidency of the European Union Council
- To sensitize positive image of Poland
- To sensitize participants to consequences of global warming
- To promote the idea of European integration in particular between the youth from western and eastern Europe
- To promote the city of Poznan, Wielkopolska region and Poland, particularly as the organizer of EURO 2012 football championship
- To develop model of youth influence in the image of integrated Europe
Target group
The target group are students from Poznan and Wielkopolska region schools, youth from European countries invited by schools to take part in international exchange, youth from non-European countries invited as special guests. Also delegates of European Regions for Youth Network will participate in Meeting. Young people from following countries will come to the Poznan to take part in our event: Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech, France, Spain, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Malta, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands – altogether more than 2000 young people.

General Principles:
- As part of student exchange programmes, Poznan schools invite students from European schools with which they co-operate. Foreign visitors stay at their colleagues’ homes or hostels
- One part of programme is organized by schools (trips, social meetings, etc.). The other part consists of entertainment and art – dance, music, theatre, painting or sport. Also discussions with special guests are planned. The latter is organised by the Association.

- Discussion ‘United Europe in third century’ with participation of representatives of Polish politics and cultural life, European Parliament, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of National Education, Mayor of the City of Poznan, Marshal of Wielkopolska Voivodeship, youth organizations and others
- Sport classes ‘Young Europeans in move’ – games and plays, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis tournaments, swimming competition, shooting competition, skiing

- Photographic – ‘Poznan in the picture’ for foreign participants

- International competition for students – ‘Music knows no bounds’ – orchestra with participation of students from Europe
